As for inconveniences of this incarnation of Caesar, I may mention too cumbersome interface. But that is excusable if remember that all the city building simulators have such a disadvantage as well as not too convenient windows of statistic data. Of course, maybe somebody reproaches Tilted Mill that they linked all the constructions with roads (for example, another similar game, CivCity: Rome, does not have such a feature). But dear city builders!
This is an old tradition and, by the way, it makes this game more challenging. One of the most interesting innovations of the fourth part is division of population into three main social groups: workers, representatives of a middle class and reach people. Each of them has its own functions – workers produce necessary goods for the functioning of economics, representatives of a middle class control and regulate food supplies, patricians pay the highest taxes in Empire. What a harmony!
Ancient shopping
This life would be ideal if there weren’t fires, devastators and raids of barbarian tribes here. And, of course, an emperor does not forget about you – send wheat, pay N dinarii of taxes, give olive oil etc. Unfortunately you cannot vent your spleen on barbarians – there are not enough troops for that besides raids usually happen when we get economic crisis and you need all your inhabitants in other spheres not in war. Sometimes you even have to pay them render to avoid premature resignation. To increase your luck you should use religion. It is implemented in following way: building of temples decreases probability of different disasters and give confidence to your soldiers. If you don’t erect temples then don’t be surprised at sudden catastrophes.

Campaign is passed quite easily (except the third part of it) and it is extremely fascinating. And when you will be bored with scenarios given you may use editor to implement your own ideas.
