But one city will not be large enough for the population soon. So what’s next? Civilization, of course! New cities are built, territories are colonized, alliances, wars and expeditions are made… But progress leads us to space era which is the final stage of the game. Global colonization of planets suitable for living (and not suitable ones as well – don’t forget about cupolas filled with oxygen/water) starts. There will be very interesting system of contacts with aliens – mimics and gestures will be its basis.
If you don’t like conversation you may drop several A-bombs (but the planet you’ve just bombed wouldn’t be suitable for life after that). But don’t forget that the aliens could have more advanced civilization and you may suffer from a strong counterattack. As a matter of fact the space part of the game is the worst known so there is a few information about its look on monitors.
Say “No!” to scripts!
No, you did not mishear. There will be no scripts in Spore at all. Demo-scene technology is used in the game. Developers will create an algorithm and the world will be generated in real time mode. So the game will be completely replayable. That’s guaranteed. As for the graphics critics blow up project – they say everything is extremely middling: visual effects don’t impress, geometry is too simple… But don’t worry – graphics is quite good. Of course, it is not as amazing as it was in Doom III, Riddick Chronicles and other high quality picture representatives but it is not to be called awful. Besides I think original idea will make good compensation for Spore’s graphical defeats.
My friend’s enemy is my enemy!
There will be multiplayer in the game. Everything is clear with on-line game processor – the same as it was in the single but we will have human friends and enemies as well.

And the main feature of multiplayer is that the animals that will be projected on your “iron friend” will be loaded on server and on other players’ computers from there! In my opinion the idea is quite original. “Boom” or Boom? So we just have to wait whether Spore will be a “boom” in computer games industry or bomb down with a great boom.
There is no much time to a “judgement day” – release is arranged for the first quarter of 2007. Well, let us anticipate and hope for better.
